Life’s Satisfaction Indicator- What is yours? It is possible that you have been actively working on improving your life….you know…..the reason that you are on this transformational journey. It is possible that you are even doubting the process, thinking nothing is really changing. Maybe you are the accomplished person, who believes they have it all figured out because things are really going good for- I don’t need to be seeking to transform my life.
Focus and Intention are two factors in life that help us grow. To grow, you must know and understand where you currently stand before you are able to improve. Where are you now? Hopefully, last week you were able to begin to consider, who’s life you are living; review growth gaps you are able to identify with; identify your 24-character strengths, and define mindsets. Focusing on the elements of your life that require improvements is very important to the quality of life you not only live but wish to have.
Realizing where you are in these elements of life, helps you to realize who you used to be and who you want to be. Therefore, motivating in your efforts by showing how far you’ve have already come. Take time to applaud and reward yourself. Then take time to focus your intentions on how to continue your path to transformation.
Practicing using your mind in a new and different way, things will begin to transform little by little. This transformational journey is lots of hard mental work, it requires you to constantly think about thinking. It will become easier, the more you do it……practice…..practice…..practice. It will become an unconscious act, like riding a bike, but instead of physical it will be mental.
Activity: Rate the Satisfaction Level of Various Areas in Your Life
1. Review the defined areas in your life that you used in the activity labeled “Drafting The life You Want."
2. Score each area on a 1-10 scale, 1 needing the most possible improvement and 10 already being the best it can be.
This is for your improvement -- so be honest with yourself when scoring. Honesty will help you gauge your levels of wellness in each area of life. Do not view your scores as being positive or negative, but as something that really requires focus and intention or an area that meets a high satisfaction level. As you focus and become intentional your satisfaction levels will continuously improve.
