Dr. B. Lee McBryde-Nesbitt is a marriage and family scholar, counselor and coach, author, strategist, doctoral coach, curriculum architect, and community builder. Her work brings together relationships, scholarship, writing, personal growth, community, meaningful experiences, and legacy.

Breakthrough & Discovery" was not created to hold one service or one professional title. It became the room large enough to hold the work that had always been connected.

For Dr. Lee, marriage and family, scholarship, writing, leadership, community, experiences, and legacy have never been separate concerns. They are different expressions of the same commitment: helping people understand what matters, move through what limits them, and build something that can last.

Over the years, that commitment has taken many forms—supporting couples and families, helping doctoral scholars finish, developing books and curricula, creating programs for women and young people, building community rooms, and marking moments of accomplishment, transition, and legacy.

Her marriage and family work is informed by advanced doctoral study in Community Care and Counseling — Marriage and Family, research, coaching, family-centered practice, and decades of experience developing people, programs, and communities.
She provides education, coaching, structured reflection, facilitation, intensives, retreats, research-informed programming, and strategic support. She does not present herself as a licensed therapist or provide psychotherapy.
